Nathan & Penelope invite you to indulge in a different perspective of Noosa taking in the spectacular scenery and iconic sights of the River and Headlands that can only be truly appreciated from the water. Discover the cheeky dolphins that play along the coast, witness the spectacular display of the annual whale migration or raise your pulse on Noosa’s original and voted best ‘Thrill Ride’.

Nathan & Penelope met whilst working in Marine & Dive on Lizard Island on the Great Barrier Reef. Together they have travelled extensively whilst running luxury charter catamarans in the Caribbean and Mediterranean before returning to Australia.

Nathan grew up on the Sunshine Coast and together they were seeking a warm destination that had great surf & a diverse food scene to call home so Noosa was an easy choice. They enjoy anything that gets them either on or in the water whether it be scuba diving, fishing, surfing or sailing and Penelope loves to cook.

Nathan has over 20 years of hospitality and maritime experience as a Captain and Dive Instructor so you are in capable and safe hands aboard Oceanrider. Penelope quietly keeps everything ticking along behind the scenes to ensure a great customer experience.

Whale Watching

Whale watching is one of Noosa’s most breathtaking experiences on the Sunshine Coast. There is nothing more magical than watching these amazing creatures in their natural habitat. Noosa’s aquatic backyard plays host to the humpback whales during their annual migration every winter (the whale-watching season is July – November) where you can watch them frolic and play whilst taking in stunning natural cliff formations, lush emerald forests, pristine little coves and sweeping beaches.
