Humpbacks & High-Rises

Noosa Oceanrider is proud to collaborate with Humpbacks and High-rises for the 2021 humpback whale migration season. Volunteers from Humpbacks and High-rises will be joining Noosa Oceanrider Whale Watching tours to gather data for their program. 

Humpbacks and High-rises is an NGO based on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. Since 2011 they have been running Queensland’s most extensive marine mammal monitoring program dedicated to the protection and research of marine mammals.  

 Humpbacks and High-rises mission is to ensure present and future generations of the community have access to enjoy, appreciate and care for whales and dolphins through research, rescue and education.

The HHR research program helps to monitor the health, movement and well-being of humpback whales on the east coast of Australia. Their annual systematic surveys reveal exciting and new facts, which you can read more about on their website https://www.hhr.org.au
